Jake Weathers was born in Lubbock, Texas and raised in Midland, Texas. After graduating from high school, he returned to Lubbock to attend Lubbock Christian University. He then attended Baylor Law School, where he served as a Senior Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review.

Mr. Weathers clerked for Shannon Porter & Johnson during his last summer of law school, and upon graduation from law school joined the firm to work full-time as an associate. He will have a general civil practice, and hopes to concentrate in the areas of oil and gas, real estate and transactional work. He is happy to be returning to West Texas. He and his wife, Emily, are looking forward to finding a church home and becoming involved in the community.
